Grey Bruce - Ontario, CA: "United Way has record year; Later donations push fundraising figure well past goal

It was a record-breaking year for the United Way of Bruce-Grey.
The local charitable organization blasted past its $280,000 goal, raising $306,000.
The United Way announced in early February it had surpassed last year's goal, but some money from 2007 campaigns continued to trickle in.
'I'm stunned,' executive director Francesca Dobbyn said in an interview Wednesday. 'It just speaks to this community. Once people understand the work we do . . . they say I want to support this.'"
