Manitoba leads Canada in charitable giving: report: "For the 10th year in a row, Manitoba beat out every other Canadian province and territory with the most number of charitable donations given in 2009.
The Fraser Institute report titled, Generosity in Canada and the United States: The 2009 Generosity Index, found that 27.3% of tax filers in Manitoba had donated to a registered charity in the year. Manitobans donated a total 1.02% of the province's total income to charity."
