Modified version of aliveandgiving.com launched - Third Sector: "harity donation website removes the donate buttons for organisations that have not agreed to their inclusion
The charity donation website aliveandgiving.com has been relaunched so that donate buttons are no longer included automatically in charity listings.
When the site was first launched last month, visitors had the option to donate through aliveandgiving.com to more than 200,000 listed charities.
But after some charities expressed concerns that the donations were being taken without their consent, the organisation has removed the donate button from charities that have not agreed to it being included on their page."
