700 people support campaign to raise rice for needy: SINGAPORE - Over 700 participants from South East Community Development Council (CDC), NTUC FairPrice came together today to launch a charity campaign which aims to raise at least half a million bowls of rice for 7,000 needy families residing in the South East District.
The campaign, known as the NTUC FairPrice Walk for Rice @ South East 2011, is part of South East CDC's initiatives to encourage community volunteerism.
