Corporate donations hit record high in FY 2010 - The Mainichi Daily News: TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Corporate donations totaled a record 696 billion yen in the fiscal year through March 31, 2011, up 27.3 percent from the previous year, probably because many companies made donations following the devastating March 11 earthquake and tsunami, the National Tax Agency said Wednesday.
The agency estimated the amount, based on the final tax returns of 1.16 million companies selected according to their size and business categories.
